Maire Hunter She/her/hers

Maire Hunter joined GEO as an operations specialist in October 2018. She collaborates with the Operations team on accounting, IT strategy, and facility management to keep the office running smoothly, and is working to incorporate an equity lens in day-to-day operations. Maire is piloting a personal finance capacity-building program for GEO staff as her passion project.

Maire spent several years providing administrative, board, accounting, event and program support at the T. Howard Foundation, a nonprofit focused on promoting diversity in the media, entertainment, and tech industries via internships, talent development, and job placements for underrepresented college students. Prior to that, she worked in hospitality and hotel operations.

Maire spent a semester at the National Outdoor Leadership School and was a member of Phi Theta Kappa at Montgomery College before earning her bachelor’s degree from McDaniel College.
